This is something that would interest those who are make up addicts like myself or make up artists!

Hi ladies!

Just an update for those waiting for their Essence of Beauty brushes. They should be arriving soon - the delay was due to the Thanksgiving break so I'm told.

As for the Sigma brushes update, I still need about 4 more orders before I can send off the order to Sigma. So this will most probably only happen by January.

Lipocils~ I still have 5 more for immediate purchase. Don't know what Lipocils is? It is an eyelash conditioning gel that helps to promote growth and strengthen your lashes. So you end up with healthier, longer and stronger eyelashes. So far I've not had a single customer complaint, so cheers to a great find that not only worked for me but for you girls as well! A review on Ojon by Liza~

"I started using Ojon over two months ago and its the best thing ever for my hair.

I've got long thin hair, with super frizzy ends due to a perm I had a couple of months ago. My hair can be classified as damaged as I do lots of colouring, straightening, curling and what not. If I don't make an effort in the mornings, I literally look like the bride of frankenstein.

I've read so many testimonials about Ojon online and most users say that you will need to leave it in for a while. I took a risk and actually slept in it over night. All you need is a small amount anyway. Just as a word of caution, I'm used to sleeping in curlers so I've got a high tolerance for discomfort.

And the next day after shampooing and conditioner (I use redken's all soft line), my hair was smoother and texture was definitely better than its been in a long time."

Alternative to MAC Brushes

Hello ladies! I just back from Singapore today so here's the requested post on make up brushes by zeezee. :)

So I bought my 3rd MAC brush when I was in Singapore and boy.. was I surprised. My 1st and 2nd MAC brushes were from UK and I never did convert the price into Brunei dollars... so the 3rd brush which is my 290 (?) was over BND50. So I was shocked.

For the past few months Ive been trying out different brushes, Jemma Kid, Bare Minerals and now Essence of Beauty. I must say Im in love with the Essence of Beauty brushes especially the Smokey Wide + Crease brush and also the duo brushes. The brushes are super soft and they do the job well and best of all? They're cheap! If you're interested in ordering Essence of Beauty, I'm in the process of getting the prices so will update you ladies once I have them.

There are some other brushes out there like the Sigma brushes and the CS brushes as well but since Ive never personally tried them I cant really comment. Might be ordering some Sigma brushes soon, will let u know once I have them.

Alternatively check out youTube, there are tons of gurus reviews on brushes as well. Let me know if you have any questions or even other requests.

AN Product Review #2

Hi ladies! In this post I'll be talking about the Eyeko Mascara and Urban Decay Primer Potion.

First up the Eyeko mascara. I love the tube!! I find it so unique that you can actually squeeze ur mascara and actually know how much you have left. The mascara wand however gets some getting used to for me because it is different. But boy does it lengthen! It's crazy how long my lashes are when I use this and it really is VERY black which I love. I love my Loreal Voluminous for giving me volume and Im loving this for length. One thing I dont like is taking it off. You really have to get into your lashes to make sure every last bit of it comes out but it's like that for my Voluminous too. Small price to pay for the effect it gives. You can check out Gemma and Selby's videos on the mascara as well to see how it looks when they use it.

Urban Decay Primer Potion also known as UDPP. Some of you may already know about this but I only found out about this early this year. I have trouble getting my eyeshadow to stay on throughout the day so when I saw on youTube that there was this product, I ordered it straight away. What it does is help your eyeshadow stay on longer and also for me I notice that the colour of the eyeshadow is nicer when I put in on top the UDPP. How do you use it? Just put a small amount on your lids and rub it in and let it dry. Then put on your eye make up. And wa-la! Longer lasting eyeshadow and check out the difference in the colour as well. I think it looks just that much better with the UDPP.

Skin Products - Oily Skin

I was requested to do a recommendation on skin products for oily skin. Unfortunately because I have dry skin, this is not based on my personal use but more on a general 'what Ive heard' kinda of thing. Try it out and let me know if it works for you and for those of you who have recommendations please share with us as well. :) These products are both drug store products.

Skin cleanser/mask - Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1

This is one Ive heard about on youTube a lot. It's 2 in 1 meaning you can use it for a cleanser and if you leave it on for a bit longer before rinsing it off, it works as a face mask. Its good for oily skin and those prone to breakouts. Unfortunately this isn't available in Brunei. If you wanna give this a try let me know and I can try and get it for you. Actually Ive heard a lot about Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser as well which is oil free so that's worth checking out as well.

St Ives Apricot Scrub

This is a great scrub that is available in Brunei both in Guardian and Winmark and they have many types for different skin types. I do recommend exfoliating at least once to twice a week to get rid of any dead skin cells and to help maintain clean pores. This will help with all types of skin.

Apart from these it does depend on yourself individually most of all. Like for some people brands like the Body Shop work for them however for me my skin has an allergic reation so not everything that works for other people is going to work for you.

Most importantly, you really need to know what skin type you have. To know what type of skin you really do have, this is a good test. Wash your face with your facial wash, dry it and then leave it like that for about 5 minutes. Does your skin feel tight? Then you have dry skin like me. If you dont moisturise your face properly, your face will produce oil to compensate for the dehydration so that's one thing to keep in mind.

If you have oily skin make sure to use oil-free products only for your face as well.

For higher end brands I do recommend Dermalogica! Its a great brand and if you go for face mapping they can help you find the best products for your face. It is a bit pricey but I do believe in the long run it is worth it. I believe there are a few places in Brunei that do have Dermalogica products, there's one in Kiulap (not too sure where) and there's one in Gadong (same row with Pizza Hut).

Make Up Palettes

I thought Id share this with you ladies as well. Last month I bought a palette and 2 gel liners and I was amazed at the quality for the price. Because Im still experimenting with eye shadows and what colours suit me and my eye colour, I decided to get the palette to play around with before I invest in MAC or Nars eyeshadows. I was pleasantly surprised that all the reviews I saw on youTube were actually true! Eventhough the palette is relatively cheap considering how many colours you get, the quality is still very good. The colours are very pigmented and easy to blend and work with and because I bought this particular palette I was able to play with colours as well. I used colours for Raya to match my outfits and it turned out pretty nice. :)

Let me know if you ladies would like me to order a palette for you. They have it in a few ranges so let me know which ones you're interested in. These are exactly the same like Coastal Scents palettes except that it's from a different store and it's slightly cheaper. So do a search on youTube and you can see swatches and tutorials as well! You can even go to the Coastal Scents websites to have a look. :)

AN Product Review #1

I love reading these and I thought Id start doing it as well. In this review, I'll be talking about the Loreal Voluminous Mascara and Revlon's Colorstay Foundation.

This is the BEST mascara Ive ever tried and personally for me it puts all the other mascaras (drugstore) to shame! It truly does give your lashes volume. My eyelashes are already long from the Lipocils so I wasnt looking for length but when I use this mascara it does make me able to show off my lashes even more. Only downside is getting it off. Im using the waterproof one because from what Ive heard waterproof mascaras help your lashes keep their curl but then at the end of the night I have to suffer the consequences of removal. :p Unfortunately this is not available in Brunei so I did have to get it in from the US and I so dont regret it.

Now this is available in Brunei at our very own Guardian. I use the color Sand Beige. I used to use the Nude cause in my head Im VERY fair when Im actually not. Only when I was looking at my pictures did I see how it didnt suit me. :p

This is the best drugstore foundation you will ever find. Take my word for it. I was talking to a colleague of mine about it and she bought it and loves it too. I love how it goes on so smoothly and dries so quick and the coverage is amazing. It really makes you look like you have flawless skin! But I was a bit skeptical on how long it would last knowing liquid foundation isnt such a great idea in such a hot country as Brunei. The true test was when I wore this foundation and went to watch netball at the indoor stadium. For those of you who have been there you know just how hot it is. Within 5 minutes I was sweating already and I was worrying about my foundation streaking and lo and behold, guess what? It stayed on! And so Ive found my holy grail foundation. It doesnt break me out either. I use my Sonia Kashuk blender sponge to put it on and on I use my MAC Mineralised Skin Finish to set it. I love the Mac MSF's as well. I was in UK at the MAC counter and she recommended it and she said I was a Medium PLUS. Can you believe it? I seriously need to get over the fact that Im not as pale as I thought I was. :p

Hello!

Just an update on the orders. The 3rd batch of Lipocils should be arriving soon and the shipment of Ojon should be arriving by this week or early next week. So the 4th batch for Lipocils is open (6 more available) and the 2nd batch of Ojon is open (10 more available).

As for the Enjoy lines, because they will only accept orders of 10, I do have to wait till 10 are ordered before I can place the order so it might be a while. Thank you for your patience. Currently 7 more orders for the Hydrating line and 8 more orders for the Luxury Line.

For those skeptics out there here are more reviews and an article on Alicia Keys using Talika Lipocils.

And if you check out the Alicia Keys article, you can see the BeautyBlender that Gwen Stefani uses. I use the cheap alternative by Sonia Kashuk and I love it for putting on my Revlon ColorStay foundation (you can get it at Guardian - its the best foundation ever! Im recommending it to everyone and one of my colleagues tried it and loves it too). Here's are 2 videos - video1 video2 -on the sponges if you want to check that out.

Btw I just received these crystals. Im selling them at 80cents per pc (8x11mm). You can see the real thing at Khazanah if you want, I just dropped off a sample to Nelson.

Tasha ~ I just want to add that this product is my holy grail. I use the Ultra Hydrating Shampoo, Ultra Hydrating Conditioner and Restorative Hair Treatment. These are definitely a good product. I've been looking for hair products for so long and I finally found it. And the "Restorative Hair Treatment" is great coz it's made of 100% ojon palm nut oil!

Feel free to Google it and check out the reviews, there are actually a lot and I don't know why I've never heard of it until now.

Personal Experience Time - I've used it twice so far and the first thing you will notice is the smell. I personally don't mind it but some might, it smells like coffee beans but after shampoo-ing the smell does go away so I can deal with that. Even if I hated the smell though, the results make it so worth it. I can tell you that I have very frizzy and dry hair which I have to straighten with a straightening iron to look nice so I have tried every hair treatment you can think of from Kerastase to Japanese Milk Treatments and I've never had my hair respond this way before. Hands down the best treatment I've ever tried but you just have to try it yourself to see. It makes my hair so much more easy to manage and after 2 treaments I can see a difference in my hair that it's less dry and less frizzy and it's starting to be shinier and healthier looking as well (keep in mind this is after only 2 treaments so my hair doesn't look like Selby's yet :p).

Im still currently in the process of finding the cheapest prices for the Enjoy & Ojon lines. I am in love with Enjoy. I wasnt sure whether it was the Ojon or Enjoy that was making the difference with my hair but 2 days ago I used the Enjoy Hydrating shampoo with Herbal Essence conditioner and oh my God. The results were amazing. I think the Ojon conditioner is just too liquid-y for my liking so I wouldn't repurchase that because Im just used to a thicker conditioner. The treatment I will repurchase though for sure.

Ive only used the Enjoy Hydrating Shampoo and Ojon Conditioner less than a week but I do feel a difference in my hair. My hair is usually quite frizzy and dry so I have tried more shampoos and conditioners than I can remember. So far Im very happy with the shampoo especially. I have used the Ojon Hair Treatment only once so I cannot give a proper comment on that except that it is quite pricey. I bought the small pack which includes the shampoo, conditioner and a few other things just to try so if/when I decide whether Im buying the normal sizes, I will definitely let you know. :)

Back to Enjoy. Because it is an American brand and Ive never seen them in any shops in all the countries Ive been to, Im thinking of bringing in a few bottles for those of you who are interested. They have great workmanship and he does beautiful designs! Unfortunately they cant take any more orders for Hari Raya but if you want, he can do a design for you and you can take the design to your tailor. Lipocils Update

Hello ladies,

This is an update regarding the Lipocils Eyelash Conditioning Gel. The price quoted to me previously was for the old packaging of 4.2ml. For the new packaging of 10ml it will be BND60 inclusive of shipping charges whereas on the Talika Official Website its BND69 without shipping.

I've just ordered the 1st batch of 10 tubes. So far I have 9 orders so one more is up for grabs. Any orders after that will be in the next shipment. The first shipment should arrive in 1-2 weeks so roughly in the 1st week of August if everything goes smoothly.

Pick up and payment details will be informed directly to orderees. :)

So far Ive used it for almost 2 weeks and from personal experience I can feel the difference. I did an eyelash perm and my eyelashes became very coarse because of it, after using Lipocils, my eyelashes are very much softer and also the curl is more emphasised. Length wise I cant really tell the difference yet because my eyelashes are naturally quite long to begin with. If you have any other questions, you know where to reach me.

Hi ladies and maybe a few gents,

Just an update. I was supposed to have a table at the gerai for Sultan's Bday but because of 'you-know-what' it is most probably cancelled. So so far I have been selling my beads and crystals to office mates and friends. So far the Mussel Coin Drop Charms are my most popular item and the two-toned beads. I've run out of a few colours for the Mussel Coins but depending on requests, I can reorder for you.

A little birdie also told me that there is a certain place selling the two-toned beads as well but almost 4 times my price! This is the reason why I decided to bring these in because I would like to offer more reasonable prices to all of you and of course for myself too! :)

Im currently waiting for a sample for the necklaces and so will update you all on this soon. With regards to prices, right now Im still waiting for a confirmed quotation but dont worry, I wont over-price them and sell them to you guys!

I might also bring in swarovski crystals and pearl beads but this does depend on requests and so far I've not had enough requests to venture to bring this in. So if you are interested let me know!

15mm Round Mussel Coin Drop Charm Beads

Drops are dyed to a deep color and have a smooth, lustrous side and a rough, darker side. Coin-shaped drops are lightweight and have a slight, natural curve. Approximately 1mm thick and 15mm in size. I have them in 19 different colours in packets of 20 pcs at only BND2.00 per packet. If you buy 5 or more packets, I can give you a price of BND1.50 per packet.

If you're interested in ordering any of the beads, just give me a text or an email and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. For pickup it will be in Gadong, if you'd like delivery let me know, depending on where - I'll try my best to accommodate.

Tip: You can even use the beads to make a funky hairband/headband (I'm not sure what they're actually called).

First up the Red Coral and the White Mother of Pearl Round Beads. The Red Coral comes in a strand of 15" long and each bead is approximately 10mm in size. The White Mother of Pearl Round beads come in strands of 15" long as well but each bead is 20mm in size.
